The first solo album from Fuzztones' frontman, Rudi
Protrudi, is quite a departure from the psychedelic garage grunge that he's
known for! Although Rudi sneaks in the occasional fuzz box and combo organ,
this is hard-core Country, with stand-up bass, steel guitar, acoustic and
electric (Gretsch, baby!) guitars, and that country twang you'd associate
with George Jones or Porter Wagoner. The songs are quite twisted, and his
versions of "Psycho" and "The First Mrs. Jones," are actually quite chilling!
Possibly the first garage psych country crossover record! A masterpiece!
