19th, 1980. The "Mind-Expanding" Fuzztones are making their debut at Club
57, a seedy little underground dive in NYC. Day-glo lights are flashing,
go-go girls are frugging with wild abandon, and the World's Wickedest Voodoo
Slingers take the stage. With leather and paisley abounding, human bone necklaces
flying, and black Beatlesque mops gone amok, The Fuzztones launch full
throttle into a raunchy explosion of psycho-punk bursting with enough passion
to make it seem vital all over again. Now, with several albums, tours, videos,
television and radio appearances behind them, the Gurus of Garage Grunge
enjoy their status as living legends, as their recordings continue to receive
airplay even today.Luckily for us, they've also left behind a lysergic legacy.
For years rabid fans have bombarded the Cult of Fuzz headquarters with requests...or
should we say DEMANDS, for rare demos, live tapes...heck, anything they
could get their grimy little paws on. Up to now these skeletons have been
securely stashed in somebody's mouldy closet. Now, ladies and gentlemen,
