R.I.P ARTHUR KANE & RICHARD TEPP

Anyone who knows me knows that I am a New York Dolls fanatic, so when I heard that the surviving 3 members (David Johansen, Syl Sylvain, and Arthur Kane) were reuniting, and that The Fuzztones would actually be playing at Little Steven's Underground Garage Festival on the same bill as my heroes, I was overwhelmed to say the least! I had seen the original line-up twice at Max's Kansas City in NYC (FRONT ROW!!!) back in the day, and can honestly say they were the most exciting band I ever saw (and I've seen EVERYBODY!) Yesterday I found out that Arthur died on Tuesday night (7/13) in Los Angeles due to complications from leukemia. A terrible loss for Rock 'n' Roll. RICHARD & THE YOUNG LIONS singer Richard Tepp also died recently. While I never had the privilege of seeing them perform, I heard nothing but rave reviews of their Cavestomp reunion show, and was looking forward to their appearance at Little Steven's Underground Garage Festival with great anticipation. The Fuzztones send our most heartfelt condolences to the Dolls and Young Lions, and to Arthur and Richard's families.
