Possibly the most enigmatic
Fuzztone. Michael Jay's brontosaurus bass throb was the rocksteady
foundation of the Fuzztones, and combined with Ira's "nutty stick
action," produced one of the tightest rhythm sections in rock'n'roll
history. Michael was also responsible for a majority of the blood-curdling
screams heard on this line-up's recordings. Never seen without his Beatle
boots. In every respect, Michael epitomized what being a Fuzztone is
all about.
